PROGRAMS
We envision a world where nature is protected, youth have more opportunities to thrive, vulnerable populations receive the care they need, and women are empowered and supported. To pursue this vision, The Joseph & Vera Long Foundation extends financial support to nonprofit organizations engaged in the communities of Northern California and Hawaii, currently in five program areas.
We invest in organizations that are dedicated to strengthening and supporting the community and committed to the responsible and effective use of the Foundation's assets. The Foundation periodically approves large, strategic grants focused on achieving a well-defined impact. These grants are made at the discretion of the Board of Trustees and may not be solicited. The Foundation also makes responsive grants that aim to meet the needs of the community. These grants may be solicited using the process explained on the Apply page.
